Bernard Beneteau had the oppurtunity to work with the Midway team in to design and sculp both Raiden and Baraka characters for Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe. He explains, at the ZBrush website that it took him 7 days to finish the mesh for Raiden.
He posted some pretty cool pictures of his work up in High-Res.
"While part of the Central Character Team at Midway Chicago, I had the opportunity to work on both Raiden and Baraka for the Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe game. I was responsible of sculpting the high-res mesh, the game mesh, and Color/ Normal/ Specular maps for both characters. My process: Sculpt a High-res mesh in ZBrush, Create a game mesh in 3ds Max, UVs and mesh tweaks in Maya, textures in Photoshop/ZBrush."
I just thought this was a pretty cool thing to find. It's a little old, but still well worth the look. You can view some more pictures at the link below.
